To cap off an extremely successful 2009/2010 season is
our much anticipated Barbie at the spectacular Conference Centre at the River
Rock Casino Resort in Richmond! It’s a fantastic venue, as those of you who’ve
attended the last two years can attest.
The
Australian Wine Appreciation Society (AWAS) has its General Meeting at
6:00, spiced up with a glass of wine, followed by wines on the deck at
6:30. We will then enjoy a great
dinner right on the river with some bottles, new and old, from the cellar, as
well as some bottles donated by the Australian and New Zealand Consuls and
Trade Commissions.
After dinner, we will be free to explore the River
Rock Casino and the lounges with live music, and maybe win a dollar or two!
Attendees who wish to spend the night at the River Rock Hotel (www.riverrock.com) will have access to a
special AWAS room rate for the one bedroom suites.
Since we will be assigning seating for the event, we
will have to receive cheques or your on-line registration by June 14.
